Dennis Maurice Dumpson is an executive leader, strategist, and race scholar who has spent over twenty years managing revenue, external affairs, and operational risk across the public, private, and social impact sectors. Throughout his career, he has secured and directed more than $125 million in funding, translating these resources into concrete, measurable outcomes for over 100,000 students, small business owners, and community members nationwide. His work focuses on practical operational strategy, resource redistribution, and auditing how organizations integrate technology without compromising human well-being.

As a researcher completing his doctorate in Ethics in AI & Technology Leadership at the University of Lynchburg, Dennis studies the human cost of systemic and technical design. His forthcoming book, ALOOSE: Freeing The Collective Black Body From Economic Lynching, examines how a $260 billion industry commodifies Black trauma across every industry from media to private equity to philanthropy and more. To provide organizations with a functional alternative to these extractive cycles, he developed The Mud Code — a leadership framework that uses five centuries of historical evidence from the Black Radical Tradition (1526–present) to solve contemporary challenges in mental health and technical operations. His research addresses the reality that technical flaws and algorithmic biases often stem from the cultural and intellectual gaps of the people programming them, emphasizing that technology must remain secondary to the human condition.

Dennis applies this research tactically as the founder and CEO of #InvestBLK, a consultancy that conducts organizational health assessments, shapes equitable policy design, and audits the humanity of technology integrations for institutions. Dennis has supported dozens of organizations including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Dyslexia Alliance for Black Children, the Common App, and many others. He also designs human-centered agentic workflows to protect teams from burnout and structural fatigue within his company. He is the creator of The BAB (The Black and Brilliant), a global platform aggregating news from 300+ sources across 4 continents, 18 countries, and 71 cities to shift socio-cultural narratives about Black people and culture, and The Mud Room, an interactive digital space designed to engage communities through culture, discovery, and most of all PLAY.

His academic foundation pairs classical philosophy with global economic strategy. Dennis holds a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy with a concentration in English Liberal Arts from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, the nation's first degree-granting HBCU. He earned his MBA in Global Finance and Executive Leadership from Saint Joseph's University, which included an international corporate residency in São Paulo, Brazil, and Santiago, Chile, studying the business practices of multinational and foreign companies. A true, lifelong Philadelphian, guided by a humane, straightforward, action-oriented premise, Dennis works to ensure that organizations prioritize people and advocates for the necessity of being humane.
